Asheville Loft Downtown is located on the top floor of 49 Broadway Arts Building.
Broadway is a two-way, north-south street and 49 Broadway is close to the center of downtown Asheville. The building was originally a furniture store, with retail space on the ground floor and storage above. It was renovated from top to bottom in 2004 and 2005 as a mixed-use building, following historic renovation guidelines from the US Department of the Interior, National Park Service.

The top floor consists of four residential condominiums, two facing Broadway (east) and north, two facing the Carolina Lane (west) and north. Asheville Loft Downtown faces west and north.
The middle floor has three office condominium suites, with leading Asheville businesses Pattie Moore CPA, The Goss Agency (advertising) and Black Bear Consulants (search firm). The ground floor is the home of Celine and Company (caterers) and their “On Broadway!” facility, a reception venue. The basement houses the Celine and Company kitchens and a parking garage.
There is one parking space owed by and assigned exclusively to Asheville Loft Downtown, an automatic garage door, and access to and from (one way north) Carolina Lane behind 49 Broadway.
The building offers a number of conveniences and security features. The front door entrance on Broadway, and the rear entrance on Carolina Lane, are both keyed. For guests and visitors, there is also a front door video “buzzer” with a corresponding unit in Asheville Loft Downtown. This allows you to see the person at the front door in the comfort and security of the condominium before you “buzz in” your visitors or guests.
In addition to front and rear stairs, an elevator is provided for your convenience, with access from the basement parking garage and all other floors. There is also a viewing platform on the roof, with access via a spiral staircase just outside the Asheville Loft Downtown front door.
Asheville Loft Downtown shares the building at 49 Broadway with fellow owners, some residential, some commercial. Everyone is friendly so please be sure to say hello to others who live or work in the building. However, please do not consider our neighbors as a concierge service as that is not their role. Thank you for treating Asheville Loft Downtown and its neighbors as you would your own home and friends.
Enjoy Asheville.

My husband and I are interested in a VERY long-term rental–up to two years, starting August 2010.
Would this space be an option? If so, what is the cost?
Thanks much,
Jennifer
